Hon. Scott K. Nigro Scott Nigro, Chairperson of the Board of Directors, has served Long Island Reach in that capacity since 2012, having served on the board since 2009.

Mr. Nigro is a retired attorney who practiced law for over 40 years having graduated from Fordham University School of Law in 1979, cum laude.  He completed his undergraduate studies obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree from the New York State School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University in 1976.

Scott and his wife Rose moved their family to Long Beach in 1990 and he moved his practice here  1993, serving the people of Long Beach in lawsuits involving commercial and real estate disputes in both State and Federal Courts and in arbitration, and in transactional real estate.

Mr. Nigro served as a Long Beach City Council person from 1999-2003.   He was the City Council Liaison to the Long Beach Fire Department from 2002-2003.

Mr. Nigro, formerly a member of Long Beach’s own classic rock band, F.O.G., has enhanced many fund-raising activities in Long Beach, including,  most recently,  on behalf of Reach at the Reach’s Rock for Recovery Fundraiser in October 2024.

Through his leadership at Reach, Scott has devoted his time and effort to giving back to the community of City of Long Beach and its environs.
